Hero in Telugu, singer in Tamil

Devi Sri Prasad, the young music composer of Kollywood and Tollywood is making waves in the industry with his string of successes. He is known for giving melodious and peppy numbers in equal proportions in his films. Santosh Subramaniam is his latest chartbuster which speaks volumes about the caliber of this music director. 

In Santosh Subramaniam, Devi Sri Prasad has made actor Siddharth who was the hero in the original Bommarillu to render his voice for Adadaa Adadaa number which is being appreciated by everyone. Besides Siddharth, Mamtha Mohandas has also sung in one of his films. When questioned on this trend, Devi says, “I heard Siddharth’s voice in on one of the recordings and was impressed. Similarly Mamtha has learnt classical music and can sing very well”. According to him, hero and heroines have latent singing talents which can be brought out only by music directors. Devi is currently busy with Kanthaswamy and a Vijay’s film in addition scoring back ground music for Kamal’s Dasavatharam.
