Ali Zafar’s Chashme Baddoor confirmed for 27 July. Chashme Buddoor is a remake of the 1981 comedic film of the same name. Starring Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma, Taapsee Pannu and Rishi Kapoor. Juhi Chawla and Anupam Kher are also set to play surprise roles in the movie. The film is directed by David Dhawan.

The film has been re-written by the original director, Sai Paranjpye. Regarding the film Ali Zafar says, “It’s a different film from Sai’s…young, a little over-the-top, adapted to modern times and coloured by David’s sensibilities”
Ali Zafar to be playing Farooq Shaikh’s role in this remake. Sai Paranjpye, who rewrote the film recognized a similarity between Zafar and Shaikh, “Both Shaikh and Zafar are aristocratic and cultured.
