Siddharth has a biggie lined up this year, as his film with Deepa Mehta, the onscreen adaptation of Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children is all set for its first big screening at Toronto International Film Festival.
The film, which has a cast of Bollywood and south actors, has been in the making for a while. With the PR machinery in full swing now, it looks like both Deepa and Rushdie are as excited as Siddharth, who recently tweeted his first look. The actor plays the role of Shiva in the film and from the tweets of both Mehta and Rusdhie, he has delivered an impressiveperformance.
The film was shot majorly in Colombo. With Rushdie himself looking into the scripting and story work of this adaptation, the curiosity around the film is twice as high. Now, it is to see how and when this film will finally get to hit the screens in India.
